On Friday 30th April, Dale Riggs from the ICT team read a Mem Fox classic to the entire Year 3 cohort. The book “The Magic Hat”, was received well and the audience joined in enthusiastically to the participation cues in the reading, guessing the next protagonist of each event by using their rhyming language skills. This was followed by a Q&A whereby the presenter was grilled about all manner of his professional and private lives; two of the year 3 teachers were particularly interested to learn about Dale’s background and working life.
These reading sessions are scheduled for year 3 classes after recess every Friday morning. If you are interested in presenting, and can spare some time, we are sure that Jamie and Gloria will appreciate hearing from you.
