Year 1D – Pattern Pants in Mathematics
Students in Year 1D have been exploring patterns as part of their Mathematics learning. Throughout the unit, they have investigated repeating patterns, identified missing elements in patterns and learned how to recognise the pattern unit.
To showcase their understanding, students designed and created their own Pattern Pants, using colourful repeating patterns to demonstrate what they had learned. This engaging hands-on activity provided students with the opportunity to apply their mathematical knowledge while expressing their creativity.
The classroom was filled with colourful designs and enthusiastic learners who were proud to share their work. It was wonderful to see students confidently explain the repeating patterns they had created and celebrate their learning with their classmates.
Well done to all of our Year 1D mathematicians on their fantastic work!
