On Thursday 21st of September, 24 of our students from years 7-10 participated in the Schools Challenge – a performing arts storytelling event, against 8 other schools and performing arts schools from across the state. Miss Kristen, Mrs Hyland and Mr Russell took the students to the Adelaide Entertainment Centre for the competition.

The Schools Challenge was hosted by South Aussie with Cosi, and judged by two professional performers and choreographers. Mark Oliphant College was lucky enough to come home with THREE awards – 1st Place ‘Most Entertaining Performance’, Runners Up ‘Best Teamwork’ and Runners Up ‘Best Storytelling & Message’.

We are so proud of our students, their personal growth over this incredible journey and the team’s overall successes. How many people can say they have performed on the Adelaide Entertainment Centre stage in front of HUNDREDS of spectators?!

A huge thank you to everyone who supported our students throughout this journey and watched their performance. We look forward to competing again next year! Please get in touch with Miss Kristen if you are interested or would like more information.
