Mark Oliphant College is extremely proud to congratulate four students who are the recipients of a STEM Scholarship valued at $7,200 for 2022 to 2023 commending their passion and commitment to learning.

The STEM Scholarship is awarded through the Department for Education and supports high school students from under-represented groups (low socioeconomic status, girls and Aboriginal learners) pursuing STEM subjects at SACE Stage 1 and 2 level. The students prepared and submitted an application to a selection panel consisting of representatives from the Department for Education, the South Australian Secondary Principals’ Association and the Aboriginal community.

Tahlia GrayLaila JoharBrayden Tom and Star Toye will work closely with their chosen mentor teachers who will support and monitor their attendance, participation and wellbeing while they navigate through Year 11 and 12. The funds cover the cost of tutors, laptops, excursions or any other strategy that directly supports the student to achieve in their chosen STEM subjects and pathways.
